The world's first Ultra-High Resolution CT (UHR CT) is designed to resolve anatomy as small as 150 microns, delivering CT image quality with a resolution usually only found in cath labs. Featuring an all-new detector, along with tube, gantry, and reconstruction technologies, the UHR detector is newly engineered to achieve more than twice the resolution of today's CT technology.
The Aquilion Precision introduces an innovative approach to CT reconstruction that leverages Deep Learning Neural Networks specifically trained to perform one task—reconstruct images that are sharp, clear, and distinct.
Known as AiCE, this deep learning reconstruction network is trained on an advanced Model-Based Iterative Reconstruction (MBIR) algorithm to produce low noise, and 0.25 mm, 1024 matrix Ultra-High Resolution CT images.
